I posted final pictures of the Prince cake on Facebook – but I haven’t quite been ready to talk about it on my blog . . . Deep breath - OK – I think I’m ready!

So hands down, the chicken feet on a stick wins! Congrats to Chris Hendron for winning 1 dozen Wowee Pops!!

Here was Chris’ response:  ”Chicken feet (in Singapore). It was a strange experience because it was nothing but skin, tendons and bones. You bite it all and just spit out the bones. Can’t say I’d do it again, but…can say I did it once!”

So I was surfing the web a few weeks ago and found a site that lists bizarre and unique holidays for EVERY day of the year! Who knew? holidayinsights.com

March 28 (today) happens to be “Something on a Stick Day” which celebrates, well, things on a stick.

So what comes on a stick? Practically anything. The first thing that comes to mind is popsicles and fudgecicles. Hotdogs are popular on a stick at campfires. I would bake for you . . .

So we’re getting down to the wire with the Prince cake! Tonite is the concert and we’re putting on the final touches for delivery later today. A big thanks to my construction crew (hubby Chris) for helping me make the guitar truly look like it’s floating. Here are some pics from yesterday, before we started adding color and decoration. I’ll try to get some shots before delivery tonite!

We’re baking like it’s 1999!

We’ve been “crazy” in the studio this week!!  Time Warner Cable Arena gave us the opportunity once again to create and design a cake for one of their concerts! We’ve been working nonstop on a cool guitar cake for Prince. He’s in town Thursday night for his Welcome to America Live Tour.
