I completed this cake last weekend for a 16 year old’s Asian-themed Sweet Sixteen birthday. My husband Chris helped with building the structure for the cake while I handled the baking, the shaping and the decorating, of course. This cake was accompanied with an additional small 6″ round cake decorated with sugar crafted yellow orchids. A few guests were concerned about how small the 6″ cake was to serve about 100 guests. Chris and I all dressed up for the gala.
My husband Chris and I had a fancy night out at the Ritz without the kids on Friday night when we attended the Blissful Wishes Ball for Wish Upon A Wedding. Chris even wore a tux!
The WOW Factor Cakes was happy to donate Wowee Pops to be placed at each place setting for the event that raised money to help the Carolinas chapter of the national organization so they can grant wedding wishes for couples in need.

I’m really happy with the way the cake turned out and I’m dying to know what Carrie thought when she saw it. I worked really hard to incorporate special details and elements that were very Carrie!
I found a photo of her in a purple mini dress that she wears on tour and replicated the look on a bust form next to a side table with a vase filled with daisies, her favorite flowers. I also know that her dog is very important in her life, so I made a smaller cake of Ace.
